This illustrated history of the Bordadoras de Isla Negra artistic movement is a book without format restrictions, moving beyond the grid and the margins. It is an overflow printed on paper, just as the embroideries are upon the fabric.
It is a book that combines visuality and narrative: medium-sized, 250 pages, offset paper, square spine, and softcover. With the highest quality in materials and printing, this delicately crafted book pours all its complexity and expressiveness into a choreographic journey through the colors and details of embroidered images, personal accounts, and historical photographs of the women creators. It also highlights the work of the the Isla Negra Foundation to reclaim the authorship and recognition of an artistic legacy that transcended borders.
The book is currently in the final review of its editing and layout. We are in the process of fundraising and seeking donations for its publication, and we hope to present it to the public in March-April 2026 in Isla Negra.
